Derek and Jessica, are both originally from Central Massachusetts and are currently located in Astoria, Queens. They have an adventurous nature and starting in 2010 have lived in four different states: Massachusetts, California, Florida and New York. During that time they drove over 13,000 miles, turning each move into a road trip adventure, stopping at sites along the way.  

How we met

Derek and Jessica met in the Spring of 2006 while working together at the 99 Restaurant in Worcester, MA. The 99 Restaurant was Derek's first stop after moving to Worcester, he walked in and asked for a job application and Jessica was the person who handed it to him. Shortly there after, they started dating and by the Winter of 2006 they moved in together, where the real adventure started.  

How the adventures started

Derek and Jessica are music fans - specifically music festival fans. Derek had been to multiple festivals prior to meeting Jessica but in 2008 he introduced to the thrilling experience. In 2008, Derek, Jessica, Renee (Derek's sister) and Marco (Renee's husband), packed up a minivan and ventured off to Rothbury, Michigan to take part in the first annual Rothbury Music Festival. Along the drive they stopped at Niagara Falls, taking in the breath taking views. Once at Rothbury, they stayed four day and three nights over the 4th of July holiday weekend at Double JJ Ranch. During that time they saw a variety of bands from Snoop Dogg to Dave Matthew Band and even checked out JJ's indoor water park.   From that point on, Derek had Jessica hooked on Music festivals! They also attending Bonnaroo in 2010, Nateva in 2010 and Cochella in 2012. In addition to festivals, they have also attended countless concerts, in a variety of venues across the country from Fenway Park to the Hollywood Bowl.   In addition to Road Trips, Derek and Jessica have tried out other alternative ways of travelling. Including a Amtrak Train trip from South Florida to Providence, RI and a Grey Hound Bus trip from South Florida to Worcester, MA.
